I'm originally from Gatineau, Canada, but I've called Auckland home for a long while now. I've been building for the web for over twenty years and I'm still not bored of it.

What I work on

I'm a senior software engineer at ArchiPro, where I split my time between AI engineering and the less glamorous work that keeps a platform standing up. Lately that has meant building the context layer our coding agents run on, an MCP server exposing our GraphQL API, and a JWT/OAuth 2.0 overhaul of our third-party integration platform.

Mostly PHP, TypeScript, React and Node.js, with a good deal of AWS. I'm teaching myself Deno on the side.

Open source

Before ArchiPro I spent six years at Silverstripe as a core maintainer of Silverstripe CMS, ending up leading the CMS Squad — the team behind the product. I led the delivery of Silverstripe CMS 5, wrote the major release policy it still runs on, and reported two CVEs along the way. I've spoken at StripeCon EU four times, including the 2023 keynote in Hamburg.

I still publish Silverstripe CMS modules, and I write occasionally on the Silverstripe blog.

Away from the keyboard

I'm the proud dad of two daughters, an ice hockey player and a referee in the NZ Backyard Hockey League. I grew up in French and work in English.
